Concept Design and Architect

The architects behind The Grand Oriental – Steven J. Leach, JR. + Associates (SL+A) – received the prestigious BCI Asia Top 10 Awards in 2008 for their work. Every year BCI selects the Top 10 architectural firms in key Asian markets, to honour their body of work for that year. The project was SL+A’s most significant project during 2008. The BCI Award has a dual purpose: as well as honouring excellence in architectural design it serves to reward those firms that have worked in a socially and environmentally responsible manner, so that they can inspire other firms to meet the same high standards.
